Designed and written by Bowe Digital Ltd, the 'Bakery and Production System' is a complete order and production management software package, specifically designed to meet the requirements of S.M.E's in the bakery sector.

The Bakery and Production Software has been developed by listening to end users and managers needs, then designing a system that fulfils their requirements.

The whole emphasis of BaPS is to streamline your order entry. Using a combination of standing orders, repeat orders and daily order entry, this bakery software offers a fast and flexible order entry process. The weekly order input screen can save valuable time allowing a whole weeks delivery information to be entered on one simple intuitive screen

The bakery system will prevent order entry if the customer is on credit hold. At any point a user can enter a given date and the software will produce production figures to date, using entered orders and standing order details. BaPS will produce delivery notes, cash on delivery invoices, packing sheets, production sheets, and consolidated weekly invoices. Not to mention management reports etc. BaPS has been designed to make the data very accessible to you the user. Data can be passed into Microsoft Excel from BaPS or pulled into Microsoft Excel using Query. This offers you full and flexible reporting.

Bakery software is available with full support which includes unlimited remote dial in & and telephone support. 

Case Study

Luke Evans Bakery was founded in 1804 in a small Derbyshire village called Riddings. Founded by a gentleman called Henry Evans, he named the business after his son Luke. Seven generations of the same family have since operated the business over seeing many different changes and practices. At one time the family operated a variety of different businesses in the  village; including candle making, concrete works and more akin  to  the  bakery,  jam manufacturers. It is however the bakery that always prospered and the bakery that has survived two world wars, a depression, as well as two fires more close to home.

Luke Evans has always specialised in products of the highest quality as well as remaining firmly attached to its roots  by  still producing many products to the old core recipes and traditional hand made methods. We have not remained  completely in the past, now operating a range of modern bakery equipment, even being  so adventurous as to replace the coal fired oven with sets of gas and electric systems. As we moved into the modern era we also embraced the opportunities presented to us by the introduction of I. T. equipment and specialised software. Luke Evans tries to offer our customers the complete bakery service and  therefore  to  achieve  maximum flexibility on ordering processes etc. With this in mind we looked at various  bespoke bakery packages on the market, but always ultimately rejected them as not  being suitable for our operations.  

Peak  Support,  our  hardware supplier found a Bakery and Production System (BaPS) listed on the Sage Additions website, and the rest as they say is history. The BaPS system written and ably supported by Bowe Digital Ltd, sits on a Sage Line 100 platform, linking to our Sage Line 50 Accounts. The product as a whole has proved more than adequate for the tasks required. There  is  a  huge  amount  of flexibility within the product and an immense willingness at all levels,  to  listen  to  new ideas,  requests  and  suggested improvements, something that is continuously ongoing. The level of support from Bowe Digital:access has been excellent. For a company such as Luke Evans Bakery, dragging their staff kicking and screaming along with them into the twenty first century, this was, and still is of paramount importance.   The introduction of BaPS has greatly improved the efficiency of the business. We can handle customer’s enquiries quicker and more efficiently, produce production figures accurately and on time. So much more information, previously unavailable to us helps us make those crucial management decisions that ensure we are still operating in another two hundred years
